The LightUnit improves visibility for ladder rungs and side rails during nighttime, directing individuals in distress toward the safety ladder. 

The LightUnit Grid Powered version connects to the local power grid and is recommended for locations above 60°N or areas with limited sunlight. If mounted on a third-party ladder, a Wallmount is included for installation, ensuring a secure and reliable fit. There is no active algorithm calculating light intensity in the Grid Powered LightUnit. It runs with maximum light intensity every night. The Light Sensor determines when to turn on/off. When installing on a LifeLadder®, two Stainless Steel Supports are provided. For installation on a third-party ladder, a Wallmount is included, designed to fit any standard dock ladder. The Wallmount is fixed to the quay wall using M12 expansion bolts, french screws or similar.
