Grabline is a lifesaving device designed for quay walls in ports, city wharfs, locks and marinas. Installed along dock walls, it provides a secure grip point for individuals who fall into the water, aiding self-rescue moving towards a safety ladder, or allowing them to hold on while awaiting help. Unlike traditional grab-chain equipment, Grabline offers easy, lightweight installation, and the coloured-through material supports continued visibility.
Port-Safety Grabline is made from high-strength double-braided polyfiber. It provides exceptional abrasion resistance and tensile strength, ensuring long-term durability against tidal forces and frequent use while reducing maintenance and replacement costs. Its corrosion and weather resistance make it highly reliable even in high-salinity, UV-exposed, and extreme weather conditions, preventing material degradation over time. The flexible and easy-to-grip design ensures that even in wet and slippery conditions, individuals can securely grasp the rope. The low stretch property keeps the rope stable in place, allowing precise and effective rescues. Additionally, the yellow colour ensures high visibility for quick detection, aiding rescue efforts even in low-light or severe weather conditions.
The Grabline kit comes with Eye nuts and Rope clips in materials suitable for the quay wall involved. A 400 meter kit can equip 300 meter quay wall with Grabline at one height/level.
In case of significant tidal differences, more Grablines levels can be required.
